John Campbell started school on Tuesday. We got up early, got ready, and the whole family headed off to school. He was excited and ready to get going. He didn't want to hold my hand as we walked into the school, but then had second thoughts and held it. My sweet baby! His teacher is great and we've been told that we hit the Kindergarten Jackpot. John Campbell got in the van at the end of his first day and said, "Mom, it was excellent!" And yesterday, "Mom it was the best day ever." Today, he wasn't sure he wanted to get up and go anywhere...so the new's worn off the morning routine (I have to agree - sleeping until 9 was much better) but he is still very happy to be going to school. I dropped him off today instead of walking him in and he survived. I had to carry a form in to the office, so I had to peek through the window and make sure he was in his room. Jackson Wynn went with me and carried an open Thomas the Tank umbrella the whole way. It was adorable and we didn't skewer anyone in the halls or doorways. When we peeked through JC's room window, Jackson Wynn yelled out, "Byeeeee!" in his little toddler voice. *sigh* These are the memories that make life worth living.

Here is John Campbell at school. His teacher took photos of all the kids. He had a great first day! |
