Projects for Spring

We need to finish the table and chairs for the dining area.  I have some frames I want to make into magnet boards.  I have some roller shades that I want to try spray painting and stenciling.  We'll see how that goes.  I have some curtains I want to make or finagle out of something.  Just to try it.  I bought a chair today that I want to paint some fun color and recover the seat in a fun fabric.  And I bought a dresser that I want to use for storage in the dining area.  It is curvy and pretty.  I hope I can do a few of these things.  I enjoy trying.  Abbie said tonight that he could see he would be busy sanding most of the spring and summer.

Here's a sneak peek at the chair.

not a lot of work to be done

liking the curvy legs

Abbie had already taken his dead blow hammer to it and gotten it apart, but I didn't have before photos, so he just stuck it loosely together and snapped some.  The seat bottom needs new wood.  The other parts are in really good shape.  The lyre is a veneer and I'll patch it up a little bit, sand it down, glue it back together, paint and add fabric.
