Soccer draws to a close

We won the championship for our division!!!  Today's game was pretty tough, the other team was good.  The parents of the other team were very, ummm, shall we say...vocal, as was their very vocal coach.  But, we won 3 - 1 and the kids were elated.  After, we had our end of season party.  The kids had a blast.

We went 8/2 for the season, beating both those teams in the playoffs to earn first place.

Championship game - this goal was contested by the parents of the other team, because it hit the inside pole and bounced back out.  The parents got very vocal and one dad was asked to go to his car.  The ref had talked to the sidelines to calm them down.  Sad that a game for 6/7 year old can produce this kind of behavior.

Defending.  He played striker, defender and goalie this year, but enjoyed defending the best.
