Kindergarten Graduation

Grab the Kleenex.  We are finished with Kindergarten.  He had a great year.  The entire class was wonderful - so many great kids and parents.  I was told that we'd won the Kindergarten Lottery when he was placed in Mrs. Thomas' class.  That isn't even the half of it.  It was a complete blessing.  Mrs. Thomas took such good care of him, all the kids.  And she took care of us nervous parents as well.  We will miss her so much.  Lots of pics here.  They had awards day in the room with a more causal approach and it was wonderful.  The kids got academic awards as well as fun awards.  They played a touching slideshow set to music.  The kids got a goodie bag full of photos and mementos.  He was given a DVD of the slideshow and I'm so thankful to have all these memories.  After, the kids had light refreshments and the parents took tons of photos.

John Campbell won awards for reading and led the class by reading  391 books this year.  We had the Book Worm club and kept up with most of the books we read.  I can't believe we read so many.  It was amazing, because he is now reading them to us instead of us reading them to him.  He also won the Nutrageous award for having such a fun, outstanding personality.  Of course, he got Skittles instead of the candy bar because he can't have peanuts.

 Graduating is serious business.

 There's a smile!

 Getting awards from Mrs. Thomas.

Photos with friends and girlfriends throughout the year.

"Peace-out Suckah" has been a popular phrase...have no idea what it means.

Mrs. Cater, our aide for the year.  She was wonderful and helped us out of the van in the mornings.

One last goodbye hug from Mrs. Thomas, and a final thank you for such a wonderful year.

I spotted this as we left the parking lot.  I think this is great.
