Well-baby visit on August 30, 2004. 13lbs. 12oz. and 22 3/4in long.
He is gaining so well, but I continue to worry about this breastfeeding thing - how can two boobs keep a little squirmer like this alive and thriving??? My pediatrician just looks at me and shakes his head.
John Campbell is nursing and sleeping better, getting more on a schedule. He will sleep up to 5 hours at a time and making up for the eating during the day.
He is full of sounds, cooing, squealing, gurgling, downright yelling (hunger) and what grunting and straining he does when he is making a diaper - I feel sorry for him. Belly rubs seem to help.
John Campbell can now hold his head up pretty well and he has found that thumb and sucks it a lot. He is figuring out that his hands are attached to him and will do what he wants. It is fun to watch him play with them. His hands are his favorite toys right now.
