On the way to my nephew's birthday party, I spotted this little jewel in front of an antique shop. They put cheap things out front on the weekends. So, we zipped in and had a look. A long low bench - just what I've been hoping to find to put at the foot of our bed. It was ugly had a broken leg. So, she came down from $15 to $10. Abbie looked at it and said he could take care of the leg. We threw it in the van and off we went. Not sure what I want to do with the legs yet, but I know I'll have to recover the lovely gold crushed velvet cushion. It seems pretty sturdy, so maybe it will be a keeper.
Here is the messed up leg.
Isn't my bedroom lovely too? Laundry, better known as Mount Garment is piled everywhere and the bed isn't even made. Books seem to just multiply on the night stands. But this is where it will go. |
I also went to the Salvation Army thrift shop today and found some frames that would work well for projects. I need to finish my other frame and also do these. I'm planning on doing one as a cork board and maybe one as as magnetic board, and one as a chalk board. Something anyway. Greatest part is, I bought 4 frames and only paid around $7 for them because it was half off day.
