*update on the laptop: We took it to the Geek Squad after it was freezing up on us after a few minutes. So, they said the hard drive was dead and that they were hearing clicking noises, which meant that the hard drive was ruined. We had heard nothing like that before taking it on. They told us there was nothing to be done and that we needed to buy a new computer. Hmmm. I think the Geek Squad is better suited for sales than service. We've had three experiences with them and all three have been very negative. They were unwilling to try to help and just pointed us in the direction of the store, telling us to replace what we have. I'm not sitting on the same laptop that they said was done for. We updated virus protection, ran some scans and turned off a lot of junk that automatically popped up when we booted the computer. It seems to be working fine now. Thanks be to God!!!! As for the Geek Squad - they need to turn in the little black ties and their groovy Volkswagens. They've been pretty useless to us from the get-go. We won't be trying them again, and we won't be paying money for a warranty that they won't honor. Yep, they said our warranty wouldn't cover any problems.
But, I'm thankful to still have my desktop! And using MS PictureIt! is like riding a bike. I always loved this simple, basic, user-friendly program. Saw this verse on one of my favorite blogs and just love it.
Until my laptop comes back, I won't be able to upload photos from my camera or do much with them, and I have quite a few to get on here. So, maybe this is a good time for a break.
Oh, and I signed up for a new website, also a tip from a favorite blog. One King's Lane Crazy good sales that go fast. I'll have to start stalking for stocking stuffers. Say that 10 times fast. He he.
