This has been one long day. Went to Best Buy to pick up my computer from the Geek Squad - they aren't deserving of their black ties and Volkswagens. They did diddly to help my laptop, just basically said buy a new computer. We asked them not to do anything else - and I picked it up today. So, that kills more than half the day going to the ville and back. We are going to take it to a local fellow who does great work.
On the upside - I went to Hobby lobby and they were having a very nice sale. I bought some metal elements to hang on the wall, a plate holder, something to go over the French doors, and some little things to put here and there. All half price.
I also got some feathers to spruce up my vintage hat that I'll be wearing to Low Tea on the big royal wedding day.
I picked up a ornament kit to do with the boys - a velvet kit where you use markers in the white spaces and it ends up looking like stained glass. Very easy - both boys did a great job. And, I took pics and will post them here as soon as I get a computer where I can store pics.
I also started on my magnet project. So far, so good. Pics of that as well, waiting to be downloaded off the camera. Now I need to get on the frames and get some metal that will hold a magnet, yet be thin enough for me to cut with snips. I'm thinking of going to a appliance repair shop and asking for the sides to a washing machine or dryer. That would be perfect, and very attractive to magnets. I'm giving them as teacher gifts, some family/friend gifts, and making one for me and maybe one for the boys' rooms.
I also got some chalk pens and I'm already loving them. No dust and very clean lines.
