I went to a Priscilla Shirer simulcast last night and this morning. It was really great. After getting home, we had lunch and then headed outside to play in the dirt! My little hill garden is now planted with a lot of bulbs and some creeping phlox. I also put in one of the rose cuttings that came from San Jose'. It is big enough to brave it outside. Abbie pulled dirt out of our weed garden to fill the space, adding garden mix and top soil in. We have a big garden spot that we don't use and it has great dirt. Moving dirt 40 feet is a lot of work. John Campbell and Jackson Wynn were such good helpers. Jackson Wynn has natural helping abilities - he loves to pitch in. John Campbell sometimes needs coaxing, but he is really good help. They especially loved moving the flowers around. Jackson Wynn made the delivery in the little truck they drive. I bet our backs will be sore tomorrow, but we'll have a sweet little patch of flowers to gaze upon.
