Abbie was on a business trip from last Saturday night through Thursday night. The boys and I did fine - but they were pretty antsy by Wednesday. We swam, went to the soccer field, took Mo for walks, played outside, played inside, watched movies, and did games and puzzles. Wrestling was good, but they are big enough now to hurt me. The boys gave Mo a bath and did a good job. I didn't get any photos of that because I wanted to be hands-on for them.
Betty and I have embarked on next years Relay for Life fund raising projects. We're starting in on the Thong Dongs - as I call them. They are korker bows for your flip flops, and regular bows for your flip flops. We'll do Alabama, Auburn and local school colors along with cancer ribbon colors. Betty can't sew and I don't know what I'm doing, but together we make a pretty good team. Hope we can get enough made to raise some funds next spring!!!
Jackson Wynn wanted to throw his underwear at me, but they landed on the fan blade instead. We left them there so Daddy could see them when he got home. Also, he's the only one tall enough in the house to get underwear down from a ceiling fan without having to use a chair.
Betty and three of my super heroes - Indiana Jones, Darth Vader, and Mo the Wonder Dog.
On Wednesday, we had weird storms coming from the east and south just as the sun was setting. It made for an incredible glow outside. Jackson Wynn noticed it first, saying, "Mommy, look outside!!!"
Go Big Cats!!! Some of the ribbon fresh out of the oven.
Today, I tried my hand at assembling corker bows again. Abbie won't come out and say it, but they are too long for him and he doesn't really like them. I think they are cute and might need to be shortened just a bit to be practical for wearing down near the ground.
Abbie is working from home today - he almost never does this. He came back from his trip exhausted and physically beat, to the point of being sick. I hope he's feeling better soon. We have a weekend to get going with.
