Alabama Adventure

We took the boys to Alabama Adventure yesterday. It is a pretty nice park, very over priced, and they had four of the most popular rides closed because there weren't enough people to make it worth the money to operate them. But, on the plus side, we got to spend time with my sister's family, and my brother-in-law's family. All the cousins were together and they all had a blast. It was very hot, but a little shower cooled things off a bit. We were there until closing, then had a nice family dinner at The Outback. Our nice steak dinner for four was only ten dollars more than the interesting lunch we had at the park (I said the prices were outrageous there!). It was totally worth it to be with family. Now I am wanting to take a family vacation with the three little tribes to the mountains to hang out.

The photos are in reverse order because I'm still trying to figure out how to do the photos on Blogger. Oh well...so scroll to the bottom to see them in order.

The kids got to ride several rides over and over because there weren't lines. The bumper cars were fun. The last time they rode, I let Jackson Wynn have his own car and he had a blast.

John Campbell loved the rope game. He is like a little monkey.

They are watching Abbie and Jeremy riding the big Flying Dutchman ride and wondering if they will be sick.

Abbie and Jeremy on the ride. Abbie was about to wear out after this one and two turns on the big swings, but he didn't want either of his nephews outdoing him, so he hung in on everything to the end. He was feeling it, though.

This was about enough for me. I was so hot and uncomfortable the whole day - the temps were way up there. And I had been dealing with a sinus infection, so I wasn't at my best.

Ferris Wheel!!! It was a beautiful day, even with the heat.

The Carousel was our first ride. It was a lot of fun.

Cousins!!!

Getting ready to go in. The entrance to the park was very nice, had a lot of shops and games for the kids to play. I really enjoyed the hanging planters and the big planters spaced throughout the park. They were well done.
