I found Switch Flops at the pool store and fell in love! You buy the flops and then buy interchangeable straps to velcro on. So, one pair of shoes and a zillion different straps and you have shoes for every day of the month! I also found that Sierras flops - the straps and shoes are all compatible. I have grown my collection of straps over the summer and needed a way to organize them. Sierras are a little less expensive, too.
When at the gardening shop, I saw a Switch Flops organizer that was around $30.00. I couldn't see paying that much for it when I could buy three pairs of straps instead. So, I made one. Here's the one that was for sale:
The one on the left holding straps. But, it doesn't hold that many.
So here's what I made:
I used two grass placemats from Wal Mart (a dollar each) and hot glued them end to end. Then added self-adhesive velcro strips, about ten dollars worth. It might not be as pretty, but it works and it will stay in the closet. Now I don't have straps lying everywhere!
