Small Frame

I'm stuffed up something fierce today.  My ears are hurting and I'm nauseous from all the pressure.  I took the regular meds and hope that I get some relief soon, since I can't take anything else for a few hours.

I went to the thrift store yesterday and found some little treasures.  I'm working on a small frame I got.  I need to find some larger frames, but it isn't easy.  The larger ones are always over-priced if they have a decent frame around them.  This small one will work for now.  It will be a good way to learn how to to the techniques.

 Here it is as I bought it.

After a few coats of acrylic paint.

Now I need to figure out how to add the distressing glaze.  Time to search the blogs!

John Campbell wants it for his room, to put a train picture in.  I think it will be too girly for that.  I'll need to find something else for his room.  He does need some more art on the walls.  They are pretty bare.  I'm thinking of putting a nice saying in this one.  Try to find something floral and then put "Bloom where you're planted." with it.
